Living With An AVM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful experiences where young AVM and hemorrhagic stroke survivors can connect with people who truly understand what they have been through.
Our goal is to create scholarship-based retreats in Sedona, Arizona, giving survivors the opportunity to step outside of appointments, procedures, therapy, and recovery and simply experience life again.
These retreats are about connection, friendship, healing, new experiences, and reminding survivors that their lives can still be full of possibility.

We want financial barriers to be one less thing our participants have to worry about. By making our retreats scholarship-based, we hope to give young adults the opportunity to attend regardless of their financial situation.
Your tax-deductible donation can help provide lodging, meals, travel assistance, transportation, wellness experiences, art and ceramics, equine experiences, group activities, retreat supplies, and participant support.
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to welcoming our first group of survivors to Sedona and creating a space where they don't have to explain what they've been through because the people around them already understand.
More Than a Retreat
For many young people affected by an AVM or hemorrhagic stroke, the experience can feel incredibly isolating.
Living With An AVM Retreats are being created to change that.
We want participants to leave Sedona with more than memories. We want them to leave with new friendships, a stronger sense of community, more confidence, and people they can continue leaning on long after the retreat ends.
